SZABIST Management Team Members
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari is the daughter of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari studied MA (Hons) in English Literature at University of Edinburgh. Owing to her enthusiasm towards education, she plays an active role in SZABIST.
Mrs. Pechuho is MBBS doctor by profession, and a renowned politician. She has remained as a member of National Assembly of Pakistan 3 times from 2002 to May 2018.
He has done B.A L.L.B. He has served as a Defense Minister of Pakistan from October 1993 to November 1996 He served as Chief Minister Sindh 1990. He has remained as a member of National Assembly of Pakistan for 4 times and was re-elected 2018 Pakistani general elections.
He has done BSc from Karachi University and LLB from Sindh University. He joined Pfizer Pakistan in 1972 and was transferred to Dubai for Lower Gulf / Middle East, where he worked on different designations including Sales Manager and Product Manager. In 1987 promoted to Head of Pfizer Gulf and worked till 1994 where he also reported to France as an Area Manager Lower Gulf. In 1994, he resigned from Pfizer Lower Gulf and established own firm named M/s. Midfield, a local distribution company. In 1998, he joined GlaxoSmithKline as a coordinator to the Vice Chairman Middle East for two years. Then become Procurement Manager for Lower Gulf in 2008 and was promoted to Head of Procurement for entire Gulf till the retirement in 2015. He also worked as a member of SZABIST Committee for Dubai. Senior Vice President Pakistan Association Dubai / UAE for 9 years (1995-2004). Chairman Pak Arab Sports for 10 years (1994-2004). President of Pakistan People’s Party UAE for 14 years (2003-2017).
Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali holds Master's Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas, USA and in Education Administration from Trenton College, New Jersey. She has served as Executive Director of the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan of the Social Sector. She has also served on the boards of the National Commission for Human Development, the Economic Advisory Council of Pakistan, UNESCO and the Fund for Inclusion of Disabled Persons, amongst others.
MBBS (Sindh) 1966, DA (Punjab) 1969, MCPS (Pakistan) 1970, MS (Karachi) 1991 and Diploma Acupuncture (China) 1975. Dr. Sheikh, served as Assistant Professor Anesthesia of the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC), Pioneer of acupuncture in Pakistan who also set the tradition of voluntary organizations and free medical camps in Sindh. Presently, he is Secretary Board of Governors, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST). Dr. Shaikh has served as CEO of SPO, Chairman BoD of SGA, Board member of PCP, Board member of PPHI, Member BoT PPAF and Member Board of Director STEDA. He has been affiliated with SZABIST since 1992 initially as a member of the Board, however in January 2000, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto appointed him a Secretary BoT, therefore, he served in that position till the end of February 2022 i.e. more than 22 years. Currently he is serving in the capacity of Advisor to Chairperson/Co-Chairperson.
Former Secretary, GoP has joined SZABIST as Secretary Board of Governors effective from March 1, 2022. Mr. Sohail Akber Shah hails from Matiari district. He did his BE in Electronics from Dawood College of Engineering & Technology Karachi. He joined Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) in 1984.
He holds bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering from NED University, Master Degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University, Ms in computer engineering from Boston University and also he done Phd in Computer Engineering from Boston University. Over all in-charge of all Academic activities of SZABIST, which includes Karachi, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Larkana and Dubai Campuses
LLB from Sindh Muslim Law College, her post-graduation in Transportation from Karachi University and further Master in Defence and Strategic Studies from the National Defence University. She is the fellow of the chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, London. Ms. Haque belongs to the 1976 batch of the Central Superior Services, Pakistan. She has held multiple department head level positions in federal government including Railway, Karachi Port Trust, Karachi Urban Transport Cooperation & Export promotion Bureau supervision services career.
Former Secretary, GoP has joined SZABIST Karachi as VP Administration effective from November 1, 2021. Mr. Imtiaz Kazi hails from Khairpur district. He did his MA in Political Science from Sindh University and MPA from American University, Washington DC, USA. He has taught at Sindh University for 2 years. He joined Pakistan Administrative Services (PSA) in 1978.
Ms. Lubna Khalid is the director of SZABED directorate which runs multiple Schools, Colleges, ECE training programs, other trainings & development programs. She holds MPhil in education, diplomas in HRM and Early childhood education and development. A vast experience in education, ECE & development.
Ms. Waheeda Mahesar holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Post graduate Diploma, and also Masters in Public Administration She has a long affiliation with SZABIST and holds an experience of 18 years in Education, TVET and Social Development.
He is MBA Finance, CAF qualified & ACCA as well as CA Finalist. He is a finance professional with more than 11 years of experience in the fields of Accounting, Finance, Taxation and Audit (Internal & External), which he has attained while working in industry as well as renowned accounting, audit & consultancy firms in Pakistan & Bahrain.
Mr. Syed Shayan Ahmed Razvi is an MBA Marketing from the University of Karachi, he brings with him 10 years of diverse experience in the fields of direct/telemarketing and advertising, Phone Banking & customer services, office management & administration and revenue & real estate matters which he has attained while working in the banking industry, marketing firm and co-operative housing society.
